5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Deep purple body, thin off-white head. Biting grassy, fruity nose. Grainy, grassy, spicy body, with firm, tart blueberry, although not very sweet. Light bitter finish.

draft... murky light golden brown, not much of a head at all... the nose is very juicey, almost a bit generic but the blueberries show enough true character to shine through... what I liked about the taste is gone as all the blueberries are replaced with rye, interesting how different the aroma and taste are but a bit off on this attempt

Raspberry-like aroma. Deep wine-like red color. Winey-juicy, framboise-esqu flavor. A bit like juicy-juice.

Tap at hopcat. Purple red pour with white head. Sparking. Aroma of blueberry, grass and lemon zest. Flavor of tart blueberry, rye and light citrus. Very appealing and nice.

(Draught) Pours a hazy burgundy body with a small off-white head. Aroma of raspberries, blueberries, toasted grain, and caramel. Flavor of raspberries, rye, blueberries, and light smoke.

Bottle. Poured red with an orange hue and a white head. Aroma was full of a sweet berry, somewhere between a blueberry and a raspberry. Flavor was quite sweet with berry flavor but lacking something to balance the sweetness.

Draft @ O’Duffy’s, Kalamazoo. Bordeax red colour, light pink head. Aroma of rye and blueberry. Flavour of blueberry, rye, sweet fruits. A bit watery.

Think unsoured Framboise. The color pinkish orange and cloudy.
The smell has creamy malt elements, Mild sweet nose.
The flavor is sweet with a fruitiness that I associate with raspberries (what does a Roggen Berry taste like?). Unlike a typical Framboise, there is no corresponding tartness to provide balance. Moderate body with a soft level of carbonation. Moderately sweet finish.

Served on cask at Arcadia Brewing Company. Appearance is brilliant raspberry hue with micro white head. Aromas are faint with raspberry, boysenberry and some nutmeg spice, and caramel.
