Pours a transparent dark amber mahogany with a thin, spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet dark caramel with some light fruity esters and a hint of earthy peat. Body starts semi-dry and earthy bitter with some faint toasty notes and a touch of peat before a dry finish. Could use some more dark caramely sweetness and smoky character, but still a decent Scotch ale.

Crushed with Jakebra. Nast, poop and scotch on the nose. No balance. Musty flavor. A scotch ale, maybe, but a good one not even close. Drinkablility is not good.

Bottle.<br />Pours a nice, deep shoe polish brown with hefty head of off-white, similar to a Guinness. Aroma is sweet candy, with hints of brown sugar. Aroma takes a total 180, with peat, smoked chocolate, and nut coming to the forefront. Nice mouthfeel. I can’t place it, but there’s something that is keeping this beer from being fantastic.

12oz that fucking exploded all over the place. old from the cellar. Pours dark brownish. Nose is sweet and malty and oxidized. Taste has remnants of a scotch but is slightly rotten. overall eh.

Light ruby color with small head from bottle. On the thin side and alcohol is very present. Sweet as in dried prunes balance well with a nut flavor.
