In honor of our adventurous friends at Sky Dive Inc. in Hastings, Michigan, we crafted a truly adventurous brew in Sky High Rye. A West Coast-style Pale Ale with rye malt, Sky High Rye boasts a massive floral aroma of resinous hops. The hops contribute flavor notes of lemons, peaches, and pine needles, combined with the sweet, malty flavors of toffee and bread. Rye adds a pleasant peppery, spicy note like a fresh slice of pumpernickel bread. Very well-rounded and very drinkable, Sky High Rye will surely inspire adventure in all who taste it.
This West Coast-style Pale Ale is brewed with eighty percent English barley malts and twenty percent rye malt. It boasts a massive floral aroma of resinous hops, contributing notes of lemons, peaches and pine needles and is anchored by the sweet malty flavors of toffee and freshly baked pumpernickel bread.

Pours a yellowish golden with a medium white head. The aroma consists of pine, grapefruit, rye, herbal hops, and some orange undertones. Of these, the grapefruit and rye are most prevalent. The taste is quite bitter. It loses the piney impressions, but gathers momentum with lots of grapefruit. Rye, lemon, and very mild orange are found as well. This one is light to medium in body, slick in texture, while being above average in the carbonation department. Not bad here.

Aroma is sweet, light rye, light hops. Appearance is golden yellow, not what I was expecting from a Rye. Taste is meh, sweet, light rye, not too great. Mouthfeel is carbonated, not really hanging around. Overall...I think I just have a thing against Arcadia Ales. I really donít want to. They are just not my thing.

Can. Orange, light black pepper, and rye malt aroma. Medium yellow with large white head and nice lacing. Sweet orange/lemon, rye malt and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Light peppery finish. Solid

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a super light golden orange colored body leaving a nice foamy two finger white head, a lot of ringy light foamy lacing appears. The body is too hazy for any carbonation to be seen. The smell had hops and rye up front with some nice citrus in the background. The taste was pretty much the same with a super nice sweet spicy aftertaste. On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. A bit of a dry finish and a pretty drinkable beer. Overall, Iím quite impressed, "rye beers" are growing on me. However, I will say this because of the hops and citrus coming is as they do, this could be borderline IPA, perhaps. No worries, I would still have this again.

12 oz bottle. The pour is a light gold with a slight amberish tint. There isn't really much head, and what hangs around doesn't cling at all for lacing. The aroma has a little spiciness to it, some nice hop characteristics, and a faint citrusy zest there at the end. The flavor is more bland than I was hoping for. There is a spicy hoppiness to it, but there isn't strong lacking of the malt that Arcadia talks about. The taste is a little thin, and doesn't offer much after that initial hoppiness. The mouth feel is thin, light, and the aftertaste has a little lingering dryness to it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can. The beer has a very pleasant, sweet aroma. Almost like a combination of grapefruit and peaches. Pale yellow and hazy with good carbonation and a nice amount of white head. The taste is very interesting, hoppy and bitter. Fizzy on the palate with a bitter aftertaste.

Very flowery smell and taste of hops. Slight lemon detected with a little spice. Cloudy dark amber color with minimal head. Tart to slightly sour aftertaste. Overall, I enjoyed it.
