Bottle. Pours a opaque dark brown, with a fairly large tan colored head that hangs around a while. Aroma is sweet toasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, coffee, some hops. Palate is medium light, which I find to be a let down for an otherwise decent stout, medium catbonation, bitter finish. Pretty good.

Aug 8, 2008 12 oz. Opaque with a huge crunchy head that lasts. Fragrance of overripe cherry, cocoa and wood ash. Flavor is chalk, char, coffee and cherry/raspberry. Light-medium body is smooth and chalky dry.

Aug 7, 2008 Lifeless deep brown with a very thin head around long enough for me to type this sentence. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke, pear and sweet malts. Taste of deep roasted malts, coffee with a semi bitter finish.

Aug 1, 2008 12 oz bottle. A nice caramel colored head atop a black body. Sweet caramel and irish creme aroma. Hoppy flavor in a pretty good overall stout. Chocolate and dryness are both enjoyable, with a nice dark appearance and head. There was something there I didn’t really care for.

Jul 1, 2008 Oaty robust malt aroma. Very dark amber color with a large dark tan head. Chocolate bitterness in the beginning with a milder finish. Light palate.

Jun 6, 2008 Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is has a nice dark chocolate and coffee combo. Flavor is some roasted malts and a whole lotta watery. Very light for the style and nothng really outstading. This brewer is either a big hit or big miss.
