dukefan (160), Aurora, Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2008 Bottle purchased at the brewery. Nice chewy Oatmeal Stout. Light bodied and hint of roasted malts and chocolate. Drinkable - not overly exciting.
rocbyter (563), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Jul 1, 2008 Oaty robust malt aroma. Very dark amber color with a large dark tan head. Chocolate bitterness in the beginning with a milder finish. Light palate. thegreenrooster (1433), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jun 6, 2008 Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is has a nice dark chocolate and coffee combo. Flavor is some roasted malts and a whole lotta watery. Very light for the style and nothng really outstading. This brewer is either a big hit or big miss. Rogueone (270), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA May 19, 2008 On nitro @ brewpub: Pours dark, creamy tan head as you’d expect. Smells sweet, and of caramel malts. A bit watered down (maybe due to nitro), but flavor is heavily roasted malt, toffee, and a bit spiced overtop chocolate malts. Not bad. beerbill (1142), Laurel, New York, USA May 3, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a moderate light brown head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, raisins, and sweet malt. This is one of those beers where the flavor is completely disconnected from the aroma. Predominantly roasted malt with no fruit or sweetness at all. The flavor then becomes smokey and dry with notes of ash. Light on the palate and very dry; definitely not creamy. Disappointing. HighGravity (877), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Apr 19, 2008 Smooth easy drinking sweetish style stout. That has a distinct crystal malt character to it. The finish is long a silky and perhaps the best aspect of the beer.
