COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thunder Trail ESB stays true to our English Brewing Heritage. With a strong backbone of Maris Otter and Crystal malts, this Extra Special Bitter is balanced by earthy, spicy, English hops. Our Ringwood yeast strain imparts a dis-tinctly fruity character that is accented by dry-hopping with a modest amount if Palisade hops. We hope you enjoy this quality session ale ó wherever the Trail may take you.

Ciemnobursztynowy, zamglony kolor. Niska, drobna, ciemnokremowa piana. W aromacie ciasteczka, biszkopty, herbatniki, karmel, toffi. W smaku podobnie plus ciemne owoce. Umiarkowane ciało, średnia pełnia. Goryczka także pośrodku z słodko-gorzkim finiszem. Słodowe, klasyczne ESB, niczego nie urywa.

Cask handpull at Hamilton Hall London as íThunder Trailí. No brewery or abv details, but the pump clip is identical to the one for this beer brewed at Arcadia, Michigan. Iíll take it at face value. Clear amber orange, still, foamy off white head, full lacing. Aroma is crusty white bread, pale kvass, tiger bread. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is bready, resinous, touch of varnish, gluey, tangy hops and sugary toffee malt. A very authentic ESB. Canít imagine why spoons would import a beer like this when similar beers are so readily available here. I can only imagine they didnít - brewed under licence? Anyway, itís an ok beer.

Bottle from Reading BF 2016. Clear amber brown colour lasting beige head. Fresh hoppy aroma good bitterness. Lacks some malt depth but itís not a bad attempt at an ESB. Some white pepper hop . A decent attempt at a ESB but lacks the malt clout

Bottle after a run. Aroma of fruits and earthy woody English hops. A medium body and no detectable alcohol heat. Smooth and easy to drink but a bit heavier than I expected an ESB to be. Could not detect much hops in the flavor.

Pretty solid beer, not too flashy. A good beer to have more than one of. Taste is good with a nice malt backbone mixed with earthy hops. Probably wonít seek this one but if I run into again I know itís decent.

Pour is a cloudy reddish with a average tan head. Aroma is those really nice English earthy malts and I also get a bit of grape must aroma. Flavor is another hit of earthy malt along with a fruity berry. Finish is thin but still a decent malt is left on the tongue. A bit too fruity for a traditional ESB but the earthy English maris otter malts are spot on.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, biscuit, some diacetyl, hints of earth, slight spice. Taste was a mix of spice, yeast, touch of husky notes into butter, slight veggie, finishing bitter, spicy.
