3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of toasty caramel, herbal notes, and fruit/grape. It pours a transparent amber with some sediment and a small off-white head that settles to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some spotty thing webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light/moderate fruit/grape, caramel, and a touch of brown sugar. The finish has light toasty notes with a touch of herbal hops. It’s light bodied with moderate-lively carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle from Canal’s Fire Rd. Poured an unimpressive super hazy amber orange body with a smaller to maybe average sized bubbly foamy super light beige head. Aroma is loads of biscuit, nut shells, brown bread dough, floral and some orange citrus. Body is very very lively with a watery mouthfeel and an average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor of tonic water from the loads of carbonation, biscuit, dough, wet nut shells. Body is too lively on this one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at HopCat, Grand Rapids. Translucent coppery body, thin off-white head. Light nose, herbal, medicinal, and toasty/caramely. Body with minerals and flower petals; coppery and tannic with notes of toffee and fig but overall dry and hoppy. Nice and layered. Avoids rubbing shoulders with American IPAs as so many American ESBs do. Quite good.
