Has a flavor of citrus and honey. This is a good midwest wheat beer, possibly better then Bells Oberon, however much harder to find on tap outside of the brewery. Appearance : Hazy amber with smallish top. Nose : Barnyard wheat a la old Schoune , sour white grape with fruity behind. Flavour/Palate :Slightly creamy in texture . Mellow fruity accents found at first. Wheat character reminded mostly hidden which did not work to my taste.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Tap at Barcade. Deep amber beer. Lovely wheaty aroma with a softly toasted maltiness as well. Light munichy sweetness with a bit of lemony citrus as well. Flavour is fairly bready, with a nice sweet toasted malt character and a faintly minerally bitterness. Fairly herbal/floral hop flavour with a lingering wheaty spiciness. A hint of apple on the back. Nice character for an American wheat. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy brown-orange with a white bubbly head. The aroma is funky - lactic, spicy, followed by apples, bread, and light toffee.
Sweet honey cereal flavour but thinning at times. Some fruit tartness and toffee caramel heft.
I liked this.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Draft at Radio Maria in Champaign, IL. Pours a hazy amber orange with a wisp of a white head. Aroma is dominated by sweet orange peel, with some pale wheat malts in the background. Medium-light body with a refreshing texture and average carbonation. Initial flavor of wheat malt and toffee with a lots of orange, apricot, and melon mid plate. Not very spicy for a wit. Nice amount of residual sweetness. Clean and slightly dry finish with a hint of toastiness. This does not taste like a traditional wit, but I enjoyed it anyway. milewide (609), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Cloudy amber. In spite of honey, I found this on the sour side---which I liked. Medium head and body. No hops. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Light-hazed mid-amber. Not much of a head fades to white halo. Defined wheat aroma with a sweeter malt character and a whiff of lemon, it made me hope that this was going to be listed as an American Wheat rather than a Witbier as suggested by its name. Fizzy and a little insubstantial. Tart and lemony with a creeping hint of ABV. Not bad, but I quickly moved on to the Porter.
