FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 28, 2006 Updated: Jun 30, 2006Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an apricot color with only a trace of a white head. The aroma is tangy citrus. The flavor is tangy, sour and has a strong citrus note. The beer is rather heavily carbonated. There is a strong alcohol burn which is surprising given the actual alcohol content. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Apr 28, 2006 12 oz. Pours a hazy orange with a very small white head. Smells of light spice, wheat, and fruit. Taste is slighty phenolic, wheat, and spicy. Smooth.
jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 18, 2006 i was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this wheat beer. one of the better tasting wheat beers i’ve had, and one of arcadia’s finest. kidwiththehair (45), Girdwood, Alaska, USA Apr 8, 2006 Pour is a golden orange color with white, frothy head. Slight citrus smell, maybe some corriander(?)This one tastes more like a belgian then an american wheat to me. Average citrus flavour, but way later then you’re typical wheat. This beer is decent but nothing to write home about. SuIIy (1406), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Mar 26, 2006 22oz draft at Gallaghers in Kalamazoo. Pours a hazy red orange color with a big foamy white head. nose is light citrus, wheat, some biscuity notes. Flavors of more orange citrus and some light yeasty and wheat notes. Palate is silky and kinda chewy. CharlesDarwin (1824), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Mar 23, 2006 12 oz. Bottle purchased from The Warehouse - Duluth, MN We’ve got a gusher! Pour of deeply murky orange rind; a great color, with a deep hue and golden fringes. Lots of tall soapy ivory banana head. But, the gushing causes it to loose a point. Slightly ascerbic aroma of lemon and candid yeasts. Sweetness is stunning and lucious on the nose. Flavor is a delicious sweet deep wheat, with an edge of cream, light toffe and a note of almonds. A truly silky and quenching elixir. Many blasts of lemon. Alcohol noses the tounge a little. A real strong richness and body to the beer, yet maintaing a fantastic smoothness. Finishes with a rounding and completing dusting of dry grassy hops for a complete experienc. Great stuff! RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 23, 2006 Mainly light caramel sweetness with some spiciness, perhaps coriander. A touch of grassiness/citrus/ and banana. Also a floral note, perhaps from the extremely light hopping. Nothing exciting here. hopdog (5535), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 3, 2006 12oz bottle shared courtesy of DenverLogan (who mentioned this bottle may have been ~2 years old). Poured a medium golden color with a larger sized white head. Aromas of orange peels, yeast, and lemony. Tastes of some wheat, oranges, and light spices. Tastes were on the sweeter side. Lively body.
