COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color. Head was bubbly, white, and reduced quickly. Aroma was of apple and light oak. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Tasted of apple and subdued citrus. Eh.

Bottle courtesy of hopdog! Hazy gold. Small foamy, fizzy white head. Aroma is citrus fruits (big lemon), grains and yeast. Taste is tart fruits (strong Sour Patch Kids flavor - mainly lemon), grains, yeast and light spices. Body is very crisp, light and dry. Bone dry. Slightly acidic, as well, due to the tartness. After a few sips the tart flavors relax a bit. Finishes with more yeast and lemony tartness, with softer grains. Not bad but I thought this was more akin to a witbier.

Pours a hazy deep yellow with livley carbonationa nd a lasting big white head- some wierd lacing and bubbles of different sizes which indicates slight infection. Pez aroma and smell- also infection. Light lemony and orange peel aroma and flavor, cream of wheat, earth, and phenolic yeasty hints, and stoeln from willblake- some orange tic-tacs. Lightly tart finish and lemony. I was starting to like this a bit more towards the end, but it still isnt very good for an american wheat.

I had to read the label twice to make sure this was an American wheat and not a lemon fruit beer. Aroma was weak. Pour was a light brown (a light brown wheat beer?) with a 1 finger head. Taste was very lemony. I know what they were going for, but it was too much.

Bottle. Pours a lighter hazy amber which is darker than I had expected from this style. Head was busting oiut of the glass and needed to calm down before pouring the remainder in the pint. Nose is bready and lemons. Flavor is somewhat citric as well which continues into the finish. Lemons abound in this one with not much else going on. It was just very one-dimensional. Thanks to tjthresh for the bottle.

bottle from ace. pours a clear gold with tons of carbonation...the head is profuse and the bubbles are going apeshit coming up from the bottom. aroma is immediately of tart fruit. light body, with nothing much going on: citrusy tart finish, no hops to speak of, and very little malt or wheat character. 6% for a summer quaffer? it’s not bad, just confusing.

wet dog aroma with some sweet wheat and alcohol. orange beer with chunky dark sediment. incredibly carbonated. bottle gushed. no matter how slowly i poured the beer, i couldn’t contain the head. thick palate. sour -- apple cider vinegar. no lightly toasted caramel flavor here. this beer is too thick and sour to be a ’drinkable summer beer’.
