Commercial Description:
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

A nice spiciness is the first thing I noticed. Porridge, citrus, black pepper, and pot herbs all there. Some green apple in there too. Sweet acid finish.

Light copper colored pour with very little head. The aroma is toffee, orange, apple, yeast, banana and honey. The flavor is much the same. Lots of fruit notes with a distinct apple cider note and finishes with a mild Belgian character and some citrus. Medium body with lots of carbonation.

Bottle at ABC beer tasting. Pours copper with an orange tint and an off-white head. Aroma is fruity with cherry and raspberry notes as well as a touch of hops. Well balanced and a nice presence of fruit and hops.

The oak tannins are reminiscent of a cask conditioned ale. Nice orangish coloration. Good carbonation.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of wheat and light lemon. Poured deep yellow in color with a medium-sized, off-white head that diminished but lasted as a film on top of the beer. slightly hazy. Slightly sparkling. Lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of lemon, grains, water, and wheat. Light to medium body. Thin, slightly chalky texture. Average carbonation. Sweet wheat finish.

Pours a slightly hazy orange body. Aroma is some wheat, hop, and orange. The taste is similar, but much much maltier.

A light amber colored beer with a very small head that was a few shades lighter than the beer. Sweet and fruity describes the nose. Nectarine is the first thing tasted and it is bitter sweet. Wheat flavors seep in late and never come close to matching the fruit. There is little effervescence but some spiciness tingles the tongue just a bit. It finishes with a spicy flourish
