COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

Fairly generic wheat beer....citrus, wheat and yeast in the aroma/flavor. The honey doesn’t really make an appearance, although there is a light caramel component that doesn’t quite fit.

6 pack picked up from a new beer store that I dont know the name of. Chicago, IL. I was surprised by the lack of aroma with this being a wheat beer and all. Taste is hoppy, coriander, orange, and citrus. Refreshing, but nothing spectacular.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep slightly hazy orange with a small creamy white head. Aroma is very peaches, peaches and cream to be exact. Just a touch of booziness and a light spiciness that is barely there. Lots of citric notes. Flavor starts with a sugary orange candy sweetness, some of the wheat then becomes apparent but remains a bit in the background to the zesty citrus and spices. The honey really adds a lot of sweetness, but I wouldn’t say it’s bad, just a very fruity wheat beer. Lots of orange zest, finishes lightly bitter and the wheat comes out more in the aftertaste. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Interesting take on the wheat beer, not bad.

Pours medium gold with slight haze. Rather small head forms, with creamy texture and large bubbles interspersed. The head dissipates quickly. Very appealing initial nose: Fresh and fruity with hints of citrus. Modest, rather spotty, lacing forms. Medium body and creamy texture. Hints of coriander and hops, and perhaps some honey and faints notes of bitter orange on the palate. The malt is light-medium-light. Carbonation is average. Thirst quenching. The alcohol is not evident. Somewhat sweet. Light, but persistent and pleasant lingering.

Drought. Poured a cloudy orange. Hops and citrus I didn’t really get the caramel. OK but not really anything to stick with.

Cloudy amber, smallish head. Fruity hops aroma. Slightly sweet and cidery. Dry finish.
