Commercial Description:
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

Bottle poured into a weizen, muddy orange in color, good head. Weak aroma of spicey wheat. Taste is the same...weak.... funky wheat taste, just kind of bland taste. Not that good of a beer.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber color with a bumpy off white head. A terrible phenolic/chemical (almost pissy) aroma polluting what seems to be some white grainy malt, apple and lemon underneath. Mildly sweet light cereal flavor with some esters, citrusy hops and grass. Strong fizzy carbonation escapes very quickly, leaving behind a flat and unattractive smelling mess in my pint. Uggh.

light haze, medium golden: pantone 1385. my head is weak. wait, that doesn’t sound right: whitsun’s head is weak, my own is highly variable. at my level of gastronomic sophistication, i can’t tell what it is about the flavor or aroma that signifies wheat. it tastes nothing like the german wheats i’ve had. i was practically vacuuming the suds trying to detect the ’orange blossom honey, but it’s too subtle for me. i get an airy fresh grass smell or white bread, a little fruit, okay, orange if you insist. but tasty and light. a perfect beer to attempt to gently ween your dad off that crappy budweiser.

Bottle Pours a hazy goldenrod with an average lasting off white head. Which produces good lacing. Has some cool aromas which change constantly. The one which seems to always show up is an orange creamsicle witha touch of metallic hints. A small amout of citrus hops and something I can only descirbe as a wet dog. The taste is wonderful crisp and clean, with an underlying hoppiness that produces a tang of bitterness. It lacks the over bearing floweriness of many wheats. A very good blend. Has a pretty good aftertaste. A good drinking wheat beer. Seems to leave a differnt taste on the tongue sip after sip.

12 oz bottle. Beautiful hazy golden yellow in color. Aroma of citrus and toffee. Taste is caramel, apricots and some spice. Medium body with sweet finish. The finish is fairly clean and crisp.

Bottle at ABC beer tasting. Pours copper with an orange tint and an off-white head. Aroma is fruity with cherry and raspberry notes as well as a touch of hops. Well balanced and a nice presence of fruit and hops.

Ok, so I’ve been on a wheat kick as of late. This is a nice one, not as flavorful as I’ve had recently, but still damn good.

Hazy yellow pour with medium white head. Nose is sweet, with light fruits popping into the picture, as well as honey and some mild hop. Flavor is more interesting than anticipated, but still boring charting this brew as a mediocre wheat.
