COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arcadia Whitsun is a modern interpretation of a mid-19th century English spring and summer festival ale. It is light golden in color with a rich, creamy head, full bodied and has a lightly toasted caramel flavor. The addition of Michigan star thistle honey contributes a uniquely smooth drinkability to this unfiltered wheat ale.

(Draught at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 7 Aug 2010) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, slightly malty nose with notes of apricots, orange and a touch of ginger. Fruity taste with orange, apricots, papaya, a touch of wheaty sweetness and a fairly mild floral bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, a bit sweet. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized white bubbles that quickly disappeared leaving behind very little lacing and a hazy yeasty orange brown colored body. It has a mild vinuous alcoholic aroma that is also contains notes of a little bread yeast and a hint of fruit. Its mouthfeel is slightly bitter and acidic yet smooth with an initial tingle from the alcohol. The flavor is vinuous bready yeasty some caramel and also contains some spiceyness.

Bottle courtesy of hopdog! Hazy gold. Small foamy, fizzy white head. Aroma is citrus fruits (big lemon), grains and yeast. Taste is tart fruits (strong Sour Patch Kids flavor - mainly lemon), grains, yeast and light spices. Body is very crisp, light and dry. Bone dry. Slightly acidic, as well, due to the tartness. After a few sips the tart flavors relax a bit. Finishes with more yeast and lemony tartness, with softer grains. Not bad but I thought this was more akin to a witbier.

Hazy gold color with a medium head. Holy corriander! That spice makes a head on appearance in the aroma and taste. More orange flavor, but something like rotten wheat finished it out. An unfortunate end.

Thanks to Denverlogan (nice to meet you). Pours a hazy orange with a medium bubbly slighty lacing head. Aroma of orange, wheat, light spices. Flavor was slightly sour, various citrus but still solid. Very carbonated.

Not a fan... it was like a strange attempt at a Belgian wit, but it came across as a light beer mixed with lemon-lime soda... strange and unappetizing with a surprisingly bitter and strong hop presence.
