3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, USA - MAY 12, 2009
A light amber colored beer with a very small head that was a few shades lighter than the beer. Sweet and fruity describes the nose. Nectarine is the first thing tasted and it is bitter sweet. Wheat flavors seep in late and never come close to matching the fruit. There is little effervescence but some spiciness tingles the tongue just a bit. It finishes with a spicy flourish

Draft. Damn good wheat beer in the hot summer sun. Aroma is rich with citrus and floral notes. Taste is good as well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 alcaponejunior (145) - Missouri, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Kind of tan to orange colored, mostly clear, head was fair and about a finger, lacing was pretty good.
Wheat is big on the nose. Honey and citrus, a little floral and some grassiness. Taste is similar but a little more fruity and citrus, very nice!
Body is great, IMO, very soft and luscious on the tongue, easy to drink, very full for a pale wheat. I like the body a lot tho, regardless of whatever the style is supposed to be, so I’m rating it highly in this area.
This is actually an excellent pale wheat ale, and the fact it’s in cans makes me even more ready to pick up another sixer. Perfect fishin’ beer.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 sethmoko (16) - Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2012
No discernible aroma. Appearance and mouthfeel both appropriately light for style. Taste is of wheat but not the coriander or honey advertised. An ok summer beer, but not great

From notes. First reviewed 11/24/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Whitsun is a mostly clear hazy copper color with a tangerine edge. A bubbly off-white head fades to a ring shortly after pouring.
The aroma is full of soft wheat, some citrus zest, a bit of honey, coriander and spice, and a bit of grass.
The flavor starts out sweet but turns to a mostly simple pale wheat flavor for most of the sip. Some orange zest and coriander are noticeable in the middle along with a medicinal phenol, and the end has a bit of oily grass.
There is an unfortunate oiliness to the feel that I cannot understand the origins of. Other than that, the carbonation is
crisp, which is typical for the style. The body is a little bit fuller than average compared to other pale wheat ales I have had.
Maybe I would like this better on a warm summer day, but I did not really connect with this beer. The flavor is ok, but the mouthfeel is not that good.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Scrapersnbeer (446) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 11, 2012
No heavy wheat aroma, but rather yeast and booze. Dark amber, perhaps for use of honey. A hefe it is not. Very sweet and trends towards sour. Not heavy but fairly substantial. Gets better as it warms. I’m pretty neutral on this one.

First taste tells me this could be something complex and special, but subsequent sips don’t play that out. Think I need to try it again sitting on my deck on a warm summer evening.
