Brewed in the style of a mid-19th century English Festival Ale, this unfiltered wheat beer displays a translucent orange color topped with a creamy, white head. Wheat enhances the mouthfeel of the beer and produces pleasant bread-like notes while Michigan honey provides a caramelized sweetness in the flavor profile. This beer is spiced with orange peel and coriander and small amounts of three hop varieties pleasantly counterbalances the sweetness.

Slight aroma of wheat, hints of orange and spice. Pours a cloudy orange, with just a dusting of head. The taste of the beer is a bit mild, a full slick mouthfeel, and just a touch of spice on the finish. Very drinkable beer, but there’s other wheat ales I’m going after first.

Bottle from andersons. Nose is weak and a bit too spicy for style. Body is thin and somewhat weak. Usual citrus rind on top of toasted cereal wheat with a bit of coriander. Not amazing but not awful. Goes well with the heat.

Pine Box Rock Shop, Brooklyn tap: pours light orange with a white head. Atoma is orange and spice and wheat beer whatever. Taste is lightly spiced. It be a bit sweet. Would not know that it has as much alcohol as it does. Not a bad beer but uninspired. A relic of a bygone era.

12 oz. bottle served in a weizen glass- poured a transparent brown/orange color, no head, lively medium carbonation. Aroma of orange and some wheat. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt tastes like it was basted with way too much honey (and sugar), middle holds up well, finish is rather non descrept. Meh to ok.

Pour on tap at Arcadia, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of sweet honey, fruit, some slight grass, biscuit, touch of orange peel, slight bready notes with a touch of yeast. Taste was a mix of grass, bread, biscuit, hints of honey into a bit of yeast, touch of sweet honey, fruity notes, orange peel, finishing fairly sweet.

This has some sweet orange and bitter aroma. I made my own wheat beer with orange peel and coriander in the past so I wanted to see how this compared. I’d say it’s better than my effort, and I think the honey added the kick it needed to pass mine, and there is a hint of spice that adds to the character.
