Pours strong golden yellow and crystal clear, with a high, fine and durable head. Smells malty-sweet, very grainy. Starts musty-malty with some sweet grains and an artifical note. Middle part has some sweet hops, paired with sweetish musty malt notes. Finish is very sweet, slight hoppy-metallic, with some musty grains.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 jackl (2578) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2012
This pale lager whale was found in a 7/11 near the Khaosan Road, Bangkok. The pour’s pissy light gold with a tiny head. The nose is cardboard, vomit, some ribbon candy. The taste is cruddy cardboard, some sweet syrup and general nastiness. Light body, loads of carbonation. Overall, this is cheap artificial swill, even by dodgy pale lager standards. At least the price was right...
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 ALLOVATE (2098) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - SEP 25, 2012
With the obscure yo-yo alcohol content of Thai beers I find this strange as a lighter choice at a still staggering 5.4% ABV. From the now blue labelled king brown not quite chilled as the heat of the afternoon was hard to avoid. It pours a medium gold and sparkling with a loose and desperate head of white that eventually fades. Lemon zest and honey drenched corn flakes on the nose with a light grassy hop and toasted malt note. With a clean nose it was oddly vegetal on the palate. Cereal-like grainy mid-palate and into the sweet, malt-driven swallow. Low hop; slightly spiced. Relatively light bodied but a residual sugary note makes it a little too cloying once it warms. An OK Thai lager, just OK! (64cL, Best after 02/06/12, Big 1 Super Market, Bangla Road, Phuket, Thailand)
