Beer Archa was first launched in July 2004 to expand the market share, particularly in the standard and premium product groups, and to respond to increasing demands from a new generation of beer drinkers who prefer smooth beer with lower alcohol content. Beer Archa thus serves as another alternative for beer drinkers.

Joah... 7/7/7/7/9/7

A beer I never heard of before and quite hard to find. Saw only 1 minimarket at Koh Lanta, Thailand, that sold it. Nice surprise with a big head and a somewhat sweet taste.

Can (thanks to a workmate for bringing this back from Thailand!). Yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some mild grains, mild rice as well as some slight strange bitterness. Flavour is sweet grains, mild malts and rice along with some mild bitterness. Easy to drink and not all that bitter, even though there is some slight bitterness.

50cl bottle in Bangkok. Pale lager colour. Decent head. Cheaper than the other mass produced lagers

Pours clear golden with short lived white fizzy head. Good carbonation. Aroma is grainy and hay plus something artificial. Flavor is lean hoppy and a bit sweet. Thin body. Watery hoppy finish.

.64 liter bottle. Pours a clear golden with ok carbonation- pure white head, foams a bit, then dissipates. Aroma is slightly skunked budweiser smell, light pissy malt crackers, toast, lots of grass, herbs, and skunked hints and light off white wine. FLavor is very light- but has a distinct, crappy economy lager , corny white wine, lgiuth metallic hint similar of natty light, or even closer to jacobs best light or something like that- hints of herbs and grass and dull olff malts with hints of sulfur and dms throughout. finish is very dry with slight mineral. It is actually not that hard to drink, and not horrible, but it is still worse than chang or singha. Meh.

Clear golden body with a thinnish, fast-dying white head. Aroma of corn, malt & metal. Light-bodied; Assertive corn and cereal flavour with a touch of rice and subtle metal. Aftertaste is relatively mild, only showing some malt and metal, with no real harsh flavours - less bitter than Chang. Overall, a typical Thai lager, but perhaps a bit better than some (Chang), and not as good as Singha. I sampled this 640 mL bottle purchased earlier today at 7-11 in Karon Beach, Phuket, Thailand sampled here on the island on 15-August-2010.

Appearance: Golden and clear with a quickly disappearing, frothy head. Aroma: A little metallic and soapy. Not very pleasant, but typical for a Thai brew. Taste: Horrible. Something like cough medicine and steel. Light body and thin texture. Lots of carbonation but a funky aftertaste that’s sort of stale and moldy. Not worth it.

Pours a pale golden, slight yeasty aroma, moderate bitter yeast flavor which quickly recedes. Ok for fluid hydration but not much to offer otherwise.

Bomber. After living in Thailand for six months, I was really not a beer expert but I definitely could tell the difference between the major lagers available: Tiger (best), then Leo (supposedly inferior to Singha and made by the same brewery), Chang (but the added alcohol is nasty), then normal Singha, which blows. But Archa is the worst of all of them. This was shared by a bunch of us in Khon Kaen, Thailand- one of my favorite places. The beer is a little sulphury, garbage, tinny, bland. Really nothing there with some major brewing flaws. Never tried it again. Leo in the can is the shit when you’re in Thailand.
