Cask Handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Golden-amber with no head in appearance. Lemony and flowery, this is a very simple bitter. Slightly watery but not bad.

Cask gravity at Red Lion, Snargate. Copper colour with bubbly off white head. Slightly spiced malt aroma. Some interesting hop. Juicy malt and earthy ginger spiced hop. I like it. Quite intense.

Cask handpump at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Golden colour with thick white head that lasted to the end and laced well. Malty aroma. Flavours are fruity and malty. Smooth and dry. A very good summer session beer I would imagine. Most enjoyable Archer’s beer I’ve had for some time.

Cask, Harboro’ Hotel, Melton Mowbray. Golden with a dense off-white head. Aromas are soft malts with biscuit. Dry with lemon, some zestiness and sulphur. Flavours are sweet lemon with biscuit. Dry and prickly on the palate. Lightly salty butter. Some fruity sourness with a dry and fruity finish. A good Summer brew.
