I have checked my notes and I definitely drank this beer at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucs in October 2006. This was served in excellent condition with an amber colour and slight white head. The aroma was slightly toffeeish with some supporting hops. It was very easy drinking with a malty caramel flavour and smooth, dry finish. Very good - I had several pints of it.

Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Rustic amber body, no carbonation. Good condition and clarity, ensured by the lads as tore through the casks after England’s victory over France in the rugby. Well balance malts and hops with a medium palate.

Cask fresh @ Portmanor, South Norwood. Rustic autumn colour. Sweetish malt with a gentle hop bitterness to settle the palate. Medium bodied. Pleasant journey from front to finish. A quality drop which slips down easy. Caramel notes in the nose. Served in good condition.
