Cask handpull at The Tickled Trout, Wye. OK ESB, some acidity on finish, reasonable fullness in mouth. Moderate condition. Malts have some dark fruit. I had a cold, so it was difficult to pick anything more out.

Cask-conditioned at The Bag O’Nails, Bristol 1/3/08. Dark brown with no head. Pleasant aroma of milk chocolate, toffee and earthy hops. Sweet, chocolate flavour with a soft finish. Drinkable.

A Sim rate (cask at the Artillery Arms): Nice aroma of caramel, malt and chocolate. Rich amber colour with a decent head. Sweet caramel flavour that’s a bit metallic but with a nice malty finish. Palate’s ok, but nothing special. Sweet and creamy.

Cask. Dark golden coloured with a small head. Refreshing and slightly malty with notes of flowers, pine and fruit. Somewhat bitter finish.

Cask. Clear brown colour. Frothy light brown head. OK malty flavour, quite hop aromatic. A little rough around the edges.

Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, hop, malt. Flavour is fruit, hop, caramel, malt. Nice ale.

Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. Clear, almost copper-colored beer with a small off-white head. Weak aroma of caramel, malt and a nice fruity hopiness. Quite hoppy and malty flavor, balanced and nice. Thin to medium body. A really quaffable beer. (070331)

Copper brown with a short head. Quite hoppy and caramellic aroma. Flavour is fruity with a good hoppiness and maltiness, bit of raisins. Sweetish bitterish finish.

Cask. Brown of color with an offwhite head. An aroma with citrus and peach, notes of malt. A flavor with notes of liqurice, citrus and hops. Dry finish.

Cask @ ’Wharf’ - Aalborg. Dark amber colour - Clear as a bell. Almost no nose - only a hint of hops and roasted malt. Bitter hops flavour. Unusually high carbonated for a cask. Very thin texture and a light body. Below averages ESB-style - 8C
