Gravity, Dover BF. Warm copper with a little off-white head that settles to nothing. Berry sweetness. Nice, but a bit one dimensional. Pleasant marmalade fruit, but the sweetness gets overbearing after a little while. Well masked alcohol, but so sweet. A reasonably pleasant beer, but nothing in the flavor justifies the strength. Probably would get better marks if it wasn’t part of a long flight of sweet-leaning beer.

Dover Beer Fest 2007. Clean. Toffee flavoured. Holds together in a superb manor. This is such a barley wine - the barley is clearly barley tasting. Clear and lovely. Sublime, tasty and well made. A sipping pleasure.
