2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 DnAuK (48) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2012
Hazy golden in appearance. Not much in the way of aroma. Taste is not dissimilar to a premium lager, only not a malty one. Would be a decent afternoon quaffing beer if not for the strength!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 justm (163) - Essex, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2012
Cask at Blue Boar, Billericay. Pours a golden honey colour with a thin white head. A little grassy and malty on the nose and slightly thin but not watery on the tongue. A touch of pine bitterness is very subtle on the tip of the tongue, and this is followed up with a light grassy caramel taste that rolls into the mouth rather nicely. A little sweet malty bitterness in the aftertaste finishes off a rather pleasant if un-remarkable golden ale.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 29, 2011
First tasted this way back in July 1993 at the Mossend Beer Festival. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Floral hops in the short aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt full in the mouth with thirst quenching juicy fruit notes of pink grapefruit and gooseberry. Hop resins in the aftertaste compliment the malt base well. Finish is surprisingly sweet and slightly honeyed. Excellent golden ale and ideal for a summer session.

Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Gold with a creamy white head. . Faint malt aroma. Taste is sweet and sugary. No bitterness to speak of. Fair enough, but doesn’t deliver much interest.
