2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, - MAY 3, 2006
Cask@Reading Beer Festival. Typical Archers beer. Sweet, malty, with some citric hops, can’t say too much more than it tastes like a lot of other Archers beers.

Rediscovered notes. Not sure where or when I had this, but presumably May 2006. Fairly regulation Archers fare. Copper colour. More malty than hoppy, although the balance is OK. Fairly earthy and full for a cooking bitter, but easy drinking. Perfectly acceptable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2006
Cask Conditioned at Reading BF 2006 (Sunday). Really glad this was already here so I didn’t have to justify to myself adding another Archers into the database! Copper coloured. Eggy aroma, didn’t seem ready yet. Very odd that on the final day of the festival there would be so many beers marked ’not ready yet’, I wonder if these were incorrectly marked. Anyway, sweet and fruity in the standard Archers mould.

Cask handpull at The Locomotive, Ashford. Copper coloured bitter. Some hop, some yeast, some caramel. Pretty standard bitter. Bit of earthiness on the finish
