Cask handpull at The Fox, Temple Ewell. The Mulcocks name had been dropped, but the ABV is the same. Golden with white head. Dusty hop aroma, bit of hay. Reminded me of Fuller’s Discovery. Fur coat, no knickers

Cask handpump at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Pleasantly surprised by how good this was; golden with a creamy white head, it had a lager like taste (but more interesting) with the benefits of a pretty good cask beer. A touch of sweetness, dry with a nice malty finish. Good pint, very drinkable.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. 2 years on from the last rating and I though this did taste like a real Lager, albeit one with slightly more character than is normal. Fluffy mouthfeel, with dry malt to finish. A balanced mouthful, with grass, drops of sweetness and a certain firmness of flavour. Refreshing yet satisfying and I could have supped this all night.

Cask, Dog & Bone, Gillingham. Despite the name this tastes like a sweet golden ale, and was served on a handpump from the cask. Little in the way of character or zingy hops. Body is light to medium. Not much going on. creamy soft white heads which laces about halfway down the glass. Piss yellow colour tending to a golden sheen. Grassy aroma (Saaz?).
