UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 Cask @ The Rockingham Arms, SE1. Pale gold with a thin white head. Hoppy nose with notes of lemon and apple. Bitter hop taste w/ toffee and apple notes. Flat and watery, but has a somewhat syrupy mouthfeel.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 berkshirejohn (3014) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2007
Cask at the 3B’s, Reading. Looked like a pint of lager - straw coloured with a white head, but didn’t taste like one! Exploded in the mouth with tart citrus flavours, particularly orange, and a moderate bitterness, leading to a sweeter, marmalade-like, aftertaste. An excellent beer, but not what I expected from a winter seasonal.

Cask, The Highcross, Leicester. Golden with an off-white head. Aromas are fresh and hoppy with citrus notes. Flavours are light malts with citrus fruitiness. Some sulphur with a light, bitter finish. An OK session beer.

Cask gravity at Red Lion, Snargate. Orangey gold colour with no head. Lovely sherberty hop aroma. Moderate fullness in mouth, more rose petal/sherbert hop on end. Really quite lovely. Hops and malt are just in the right balance and the hops never run away with it.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street JDW. Yawn, its English, it’s hoppy and citric, a little thin and uninspiring, finishes bitter and does nothing out of the ordinary at all. It’s ok.

Cask Handpump at Wilkie’s Tavern, Warrington 28/11/2004
Golden coloured pale and slightly citrus. Smooth on the palate with some dryness and bitterness in a lasting creamy malt finish.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Nekronos (2655) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JAN 29, 2006
Very nice, creamy and not too alcoholic, the head was nice, like a Belhaevn one but not so creamy, and not annoying.
