Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 18/9/08. The 2008 version was deep gold in colour with a moderate white head. Aroma of biscuit malt with a touch of floral hops. Flavour was very savoury, dominated by chewy malt and a long bitter finish. Ok.

Cask Conditioned at The Alexandra, Derby. Pale gold with bubbly white head. Derby was awash with Archers beers on our visit, all with different names. Usually I choose Archers as a last resort, because I know what they are going to taste like and yes this is hoppy, flowery, fragrant with a bitter finish, but was it any different from the other Golden 4% Archers beers I had? Doubtfull.
