2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7063) - London, - JUL 10, 2004
Beer #5 at Dartford Beer Festival with SilkTork and Duff. Gold colour. Grassy hop aroma with a dusty edge. A whiff of sulphur too. Vaguely citric hop flavour, but, as ST says, all a bit muddled and ill-defined. It’s not clear what the six hops are but the "kitchen sink" approach doesn’t really come off too well in this context. Perhaps not quite ready. Cask (gravity)
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 downender (4380) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2007
Cask conditioned at the Raven, Bath 11/5/07.
Pale gold with next to no head. Aroma was a mixture of floral and resiny hops. Flavour was slightly citrussy with some grassy edge. Finish was fairly dry. A decent pint.

Cask@Dartford Beer Festival. Pale blonde, sulfury, lightly grainy, bitter-ish finish. Quite thin, but decent i suppose, a bit boring. I was hoping it would be hoppy given the name, pretty disspaointed.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JUL 9, 2004
Dartford Fest. Gravity. At this point Duff joined Chris and me and immediately the beer quality plummets. A golden bitter with a pale malt and sulphury aroma. Flavour is restrained pale malt and an assortment of hops that never quite come together. Some citric notes, some dusty earthy notes, some pleasant floral notes - but all muddled together and working against each other. Interesting, but not quite successful.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 leaparsons (6323) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2004
Yellow gold with a white head. Aromas are floral, buttery, fruity, sweet and pine. Lots of hops. Perhaps six varieties! Flavours are initially fruity with a sour tang, then lots lots of dry, bitter hops. Some softness, too, giving a buttery smoothness on the palate - until the dry finish. The best Archers I have had.
