Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 13/4/08. Deep amber in colour with next to no head. Plenty of red fruit and toffee in the aroma with some earthy hops. Flavour was a bit syrupy, with a bitter finish with some prominent alcohol. Ok.

Cask, Burton Fest 05. Amber with no head. Aromas are dry biscuit malts with pepper and spices. Flavours are toffee and biscuit, quite dry with some fruitiness. Rated in haste - got a train to catch.

Cask. A good malt brew with touches of crystal malt and a nice finish on the swallow with hops tickling the throat on the way down.

Orangey copper colour. Slightly cloudy. Sweetish malt aroma. Malt, berry fruit and nuts in the flavour. Curiously dusty mouthfeel. Bittersweet finish. Quite nice. Cask (handpump) at the Brunant Arms, Caio, Wales.

Cask conditioned - no sparkler. Another beer from the beer a week brewery known as Archers, although this one is a permenant on their portfolio. The aroma is of berry fruits and the appearance is a deep brown with no head (due ti its dispense). The flavour though is not pleasant. There is a big taste of dried cherry peal and an overmaltiness. Not a good experience.
