Enjoyed this one with my bandmates at Joe Smoked Meat in Quebec City (right before one of our shows). Poured a light golden colour with a big white head, decent retention and lightly carbonated. Not much aroma... maybe a bit of bread. Watery mouthfeel, but is quite refreshing. Good fresh grain taste with mild sweetness, but not much bitterness. Overall, decent mild micro pilsner.

Pours with a nice bright yellow pilsner body but a thin and weak head on top. Aroma is soft grains and nothing else. Flavour is smooth lemon with grain notes, leaving a wet finish. Nothing special.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color lager with a quite big pure white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light floral malt with sweet undertones is pretty tames though exclusion of any adjunct notes is welcome. Taste is also a refreshing mix between some light floral notes with a lightly sweet tone and some light dry hops. Again, no adjunct were detected which is quite satisfying. Additional hops presence would have been welcome though still a refreshing drink overall.

Golden yellow and clear with a very tall white head. Aroma is very soft and hopy. The flavour is very crisp and clean with lots of saaz hops. The finish is very fresh and citrus. This is a great pilsner.

Canette 473ml.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2010 Canette 473 ml. 5.3%. Couleur jaune paille. Arôme de céréale assez présent. Douce en bouche, elle coule bien. Belle mousse blanche. Légèrement sucrée, mielleuse et sans arrière goût. Une bière d’été de qualité.

473 ml can from Broue Ha Ha, served cold in a Scotch Irish taster glass.

App.: Pale straw with a loose white froth. Aroma: Oddly stank and vegetal, lightly fruity, hints of decent biscuit malts, a little organic acid and phenolics??, strange and wrong. Palate: Medium-ish body, fairly lively effervescence. Flav.: Eclectic like the nose...unpleasant vegetal, bitter, stank, phenolic messiness, with touches of fruity light malts, a little grassy hops, bad; dry with decent bitterness and a slightly metallic malty-gross finish.

Canned mess. Drain pour.

473 ml can. Clear pale yellow with a huge foamy white head with very good retention. Aroma is sweet malt and herbal hops. Flavor is sweet malt, herbal and floral hops and moderate apple notes with a moderate bittersweet finish. Lacking carbonation for the style.
