2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 czar (1205) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 27, 2012
pours medium dark golden with a decent off-white head, decent retention. dry nuttiness, caramel malts, english malts, surprisingly balanced hoppiness (read "not demential ibus") - grassiness, citrusy, light floral notes. almost aggressive carbonation, light body, relatively short finish. not so bad.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 VT (285) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 11, 2012
On tap at restaurant. Clear orange amber with a persistent white head. Tastes of caramel, somewhat herbal feel in it. Finish is sharp, dry, hoppy. Nice bitterness that remains for a few moments. Good IPA, I liked it.

Rapelle la Matante en plus houblonnée. Donc un côté floral et herbal intéressant et désaltérant. Le mélange de malts- houblons semble simple. L’amertume est bien dosée.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 UM02 (207) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 10, 2011
Had a mixture of high and low expectations for this, ie. high expectations for a microbrew IPA and low expectations for a microbrew in a can. The beer was in the middle of those expectations, disappointing as a microbrew IPA but a bit better than I expected from a microbrew in a can. First off though this is not an IPA. It may have more hops than this brewery usually puts in their beer but an IPA it is not. It has a malty, even and a bit bland caramel taste that is not exciting but also is not unpleasant. It occupies the middle ground between a macro and a good micro. I would be okay with drinking it all night at a bar if it was the best beer they had or was on special but I would probably not buy it again.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rosenbergh (3486) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 1, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2011 473 ml can. From Montréal, QC.
Clear amber colour with small off-white head. Resiny bitter hops, caramel malt and some fruitiness. Resiny piney bitter hops and balancing malt. Very drinkable but also very easy and unimaginative IPA.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 SlovakSniper (1349) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 10, 2011
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Eructoblaster (2121) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 22, 2011
Can - 473ml. Nice amber/copper body with a thin, lasting off-white creamy head. Decent hoppy aroma with malty and grainy hints. Its fresh, well balanced hoppy taste carries some subtle woody notes and ends with a good bitter finish. Enjoyable IPA.

Body/Flavour/Palate: Medium bodied. Leafy, woody bitterness with caramel. Medium dryness followed.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Marheb (671) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 7, 2011
Plein d’effervescence quand on verse mais s’estompe rapidement comme un soda. Léger accent houblonné derrière un arôme assez ’’grainy’’. Au gout, surprise, un peu d’agrumes.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jgb9348 (3490) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 26, 2011
Can explodes with carbonation and foam right after opening, but dies down quickly, then there is no head at all - strange. Slightly hazy light amber and copper coloured body with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, cardboard and a touch of hops - not much though. Light-bodied; Creamy and malty flavour at first with a touch of nuts, some raisins and a cardboardie, off-malt taste with a little earthy and floral hops. Aftertaste is quite potent with bitter tastes throughout and a light hoppy note on the back end. Overall, a decent beer - a bit interesting since it’s more of a Canadian (or almost English) Pale Ale, but not horrible - some complexity in the mix. I sampled this 473 mL can purchased from Au Coin Duluth in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 04-December-2010 sampled at home in Washington after Montreal won Game 6 in the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs against Boston.
