Cannette 473 ml. 5.2%. Couleur ambrée claire, mousse beige. Arôme de malt caramel et houblon. En bouche, céréales, caramel, herbes et finale sucrée et amère. Très bonne et se boit très bien.

A reddish orange amber ale with a thin lacing and frothy off white head. In aroma, caramel malt with resinous hops, treacle, barley candy. In mouth, a sweet burned caramel malt with light floral hops, some short bitterness following by pungent hopping, interesting. Can from SAQ.

Can from the SAQ. Pours dark amber with a thin white cap. fair lacing. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops and fruits. Pretty generic...

Had not been to a SAQ (Quebec liquor store) in a while and found this one (as it is exclusive to them). Pours a clean amber-copper colour with a light beige head that is foamy/creamy, last a long time and covers the glass with lacing. Beautiful fruity nose with some caramel malts, some mild hops and hints of burnt malt. Creamy mouthfeel with a quick wet finish. The hop is slightly more apparent in the taste, but still, the caramel blends things well. Very mild grapefruit flavours from the hop creating very light bitterness. A pretty nice product for the liquor store (just a tad expensive for a can that is not imported).

Canette 473ml. De couleur cuivrée et claire. Nez de grains de malt sucrés et caramélisés, moyen de houblon floral, légèrement herbeux et citrique (pamplemousse) ainsi qu’avec des notes terreuses, léger de biscuits avec des petites notes fruitées (agrumes). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement huileuse. Goût moyennement amer de houblon citrique (pamplemousse) et légèrement floral (une amertume présente en arrière-goût toute la gorgée) accompagné d’un léger goût fruité (agrumes) et de notes de noix lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de malt caramélisés avec des petites notes de biscuits puis en finale l’amertume de houblon reprend de la force et se fait plus asséchante, légèrement herbeuse et terreuses avec de faibles traces résineuses. Post-goût moyen-long et plutôt sec, moyennement amer de houblon citrique, herbeux, légèrement terreux et floral avec de faibles notes résineuses.

Canette achetée à la SAQ. La bière est claire et d’une couleur cuivrée avec des reflets rougeâtres et une épaisse mousse beige affichant une bonne tenue. Au nez, les malts biscuits et caramel sont à l’avant plan et partagent la scène avec les houblons herbeux et terreux ainsi qu’une touche boisée. En bouche, les malts biscuits et caramel sont toujours présents, mais le malt torréfié vient mêler les cartes. Les houblons terreux et floraux sont toujours présents ainsi que les notes de noisettes et de chêne. La finale est amère. Une bonne pale ale anglaise.

Better than the sum of its parts. Pours quite a deep copper with not much head. Aromas of caramel malt, floral hops, bit of citrus hops. Well balanced, crisp, and man-oh-man is it drinkable.

Can - 473ml. Nice copper body with an average off-white bubbly/frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with grainy and woody hints. Good hoppy taste with oaky notes. Ends with a sharp bitter finish. Enjoyable Pale Ale.

Une petite tête fugace flotte sur un liquide ambré. Au nez, les houblons résistent mal à la force centrifugeuse des malts caramélisés. Les saveurs cherchent à s’épanouir : le sucré des malts est bien évident, les houblons américains se présentent en pamplemousse. En bouche, le liquide a une tenue normale avec une effervescence modérée et une texture légèrement huileuse. En finale, les notes amères d’agrumes finissent par trébucher sur les notes maltées.

Can: Poured a clear light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good average retention and limited lacing. Aroma of grain and cereal is very average. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined grain with light cereal notes and a light dry hoppy finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Definitely not the best creation form this brewery.
