Corked bottle. Amber color. Pepper, ginger and marmalade in the strong aroma. Sugary sweet flavor with orange marmalade and ginger. Sticky mouthfeel, liquor-like, though not especially alcoholic. Too sweet to be really good.

750ml bottle, The Criterion, Leicester. Sweet citric sickbowl nose again, but this time I wanna jump right in. Acidity, spice, liquorice. Johnny Cash ’Hurt’ on the jukebox. Raisiny dried fruit. Medicine. The lollies my mum used to buy me from the chemist. Citric and dried fruity. Diffficult to pin down. Didn’t get the lime at all if I’m honest, which I suppose is a good thing. Octo reckoned Peach Soothers and Aspartame, I said Honey and Lemon Lockets. Throatsweet bittersweetness. I want to be ill.

From bottle, 75 cl. Tasted yesterday with Paul (Bought @ Geers) Almost clear amber color with white head. Medium body. Aroma yeast, spices, sweet malts. Taste sweetness, yeasts, spices, malts. Ending is light bitterness. Not bad.

Tap, at ZBF 2006. Amber, thin white head and gentle condition. Low toffee sweet aromas, gentle fruitiness in the mouth with a gentle spritzy tonic water mouth feel, low fruity maltiness in the finish with more suggestions of tonic water (quinine?)
