pours a brick red with a decent white head, and good lacing. smell is slight, some caramel. taste has a slight bite to it, hops, caramel, and roasted malt.

An amber ale with a thin lacing moka head. A herbaceous caramel malt with light hops in aroma. In mouth, a grainy nutty malt, with light lactic points, not bad, but not stellar. On tap at the brewpub, July 4, 2011.

Golden-bronze with a caramel head. Slight toffee accent on the nose. Soft toffee on the palate, but a little bit bland. OK, perhaps too light for my tastes.

Draft. Tried three times, once @ Pump Room, once @ Beerfest Asia, once @ Queen & Mangosteen. The Pump Room has dirty taps--it’s the only place that the beer was flawed so just don’t drink it there. It’s otherwise a nice brew. Rich copper brown with thick, lasting tan head. Aroma is subdued and straightforward malt. Soft palate and silky creamy body. Nice bready dark flavors. Goes down well.
