3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle bought at Aeon in KCP, Kowloon City.
Light golden yellow colour; Three-quarter finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Moderate lacing and small fizzy carbonation; Aroma of malt, with molasses, thick bread, dough, lemon and strong strawy grass; Light sweet taste of light malt, with light earth, bread, dry biscuits, liquorices, lemon and grassy hops; Close to light body, slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is dry, clean and quite refreshing German Pils, with fairly good maltyness, zero sweetness, some earthiness, good lemon and really grassy hops; Hoppiness is lemon and very strawy nose and taste. Liquorices is light for a German Pils, ended in a slightly bitter semi finish; Fairly dry after taste. Lemony and easy to mouth.
Comments: An okay-ish decent Pils, with dry, crisp refreshment is its forte. It tastes like a poor cousin of Jever Pils, with less expressive hoppiness. Otherwise clean and easy to go down. A passable one which is good with meals or watching football.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Alla spina: giallo paglierino con riflessi dorati, schiuma bianca fine e persistente.
Aromi praticamente assenti, con solo lievi note
maltate ed erbacee.
Secca, watery, finale pulito ma cortissimo....nella media del suo stile....

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home - 04/09/12.
Chill haze on a pale golden pour with a bubbly white head that soon thinned.
Sweet nose of malt, grain and cereals and a touch of grass.
Pale malts at the fore of the taste, not as sweet as the nose but a certain level of sweetness present.
Medium bodied and the correct level of carbonation for the style.
Clear crisp finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear Golden pour with an off white head that lasted longer than most pilsners. A bit sweeter smelling and tasting than most with a bit of Honey aroma and flavor. This went nicely with the grassy hop character of the beer. Palate was light, pleasant, refreshing and Overall this was a nice beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On draught in Bavaria (various). Everything about the marketing of this beer screams Heineken, down to the organisation of the website and the perpetual use of the (meaningless) word Premium. So too does the strip out of anything potentially offensive from the taste, such as hops, or maltiness. Seems harmless enough but it is getting everywhere.
