Originally reviewed: 7/21/08. Poured a very light crystal clear golden color. What I would expect from a good lager. Started out with a large 2-finger head, which dissipated quickly leaving no lacing. Smelled buttery, some corn, malt, and slight hops scent. Nothing special. Taste was a bit off for me. I was expecting a nice crisp, clean taste and instead I got a metallic taste with a slight soapy aftertaste. Maybe a hint of lemon in there too. Had a watery feel to it, yet left my mouth feeling dry afterwards. As the beer warmed the metallic taste mellowed more, so the taste was a bit more enjoyable. I would say this is a very drinkable brew, if you can get past the wierd metal taste.

It’s yellow-golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, grain, hay and light fruit. The flavor has a moderate sweetness and notes of hay, grain, light fruit and bead, and the finish is slightly dry.

Hopfig-getreidiger Nachgeschmack. Test vom 17.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,10,9,9,9 - 9,35

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Triangle Plaza, Raleigh, NC. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a thin creamy head. Decent head retention and lacing. The aroma is weak and grainy with some fruitiness. Taste is grainy with a bit of grass, caramel and sugar. Light fruity notes in the finish. Medium bodied with slight stickiness. Nevertheless fairly refreshing. Decent beer.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and honey. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and honey, leading to a slightly bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
