Bottle, 5.3%. 4 months past BB date. Bready aroma, hint of spices. Cloudy orange colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is wheaty with a little clove. Not bad for a cheap Hefe.

This wheatbeer has a lovely, cloudy, straw hue; with the smell of wheat, and fingerberry (banana). The smatch (taste) is sweet followed by a lingering yeastiness. Overall I have had better Dutchlandish wheatbeers, but this was more than likeworthy.

500ml bottle. Average weissbier, lacking some more flavour. Pale gold, hazy, cereal aromas. Medium body and average carbonation. Short finish.

From the UK Aldi chain: Arcobrau Weissbier Hell. 500ml bottle, best before 1st March 2013: poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass 9th May 2012. Looks every bit the ideal hefeweizen: cloudy with a deep, full white head: mid-range orange/lemon hue to the colour, just like the best of this style. Wheat aroma with mild traces of vanilla and banana: I prefer fuller smells in this style of beer. Refeshing but lacking in flavour: the first sip told me this was a cheap option. Weak body and taste: below average in all aspects bar the looks.

Martin243 (242) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2012
500 ml bottle served cold in a chalice. Pours a murky dark yellow with a large off white head. Absolutely typical weissbier aroma and flavour - bananas, cloves and bubble gum. Creamy mouth feel. Distinguished by a slightly drier, spicier finish than some other weissbiers I’ve had. Nice.

It’s unclear golden with a huge, creamy, white head. The aroma is mild but with distinct notes of banana, yeast and wheat. The sweet flavor is packed with banana notes - yummi, I also find yeast and wheat. It’s both mild and very full-bodied at the same time. The finish is slightly dry and spicy.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of over ripe bananas, wheat, and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, oranges, and bananas, leading to a dry wheaty finish.
