2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500 ml bottle in Straubing, Bavaria. Disappointingly simple, a bit thin, no great presence of banana, clove or anything else for that matter. Thirst quenching in a way that made it unnecessary to have another.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Typical hefeweizen aroma of banana and cloves. Medium sweet flavour, citrussy first, again with notes of banana and cloves. Very moderate hops, as normal for the style. Nice and refreshing to drink.

Bottle from Waitrose. Poured a cloudy yellow colour, with a thin, but dense white head. Aroma of slightly spice, wheat and bananas. Straw in the flavour, with some tropical fruits and pale malt. Finish was light; some mineral, orange and yeast.

Boa cerveja de trigo. No fim tem um gosto adocicado. Não é tão encorpada como a paulaner. Vale tomar. Veio na assinatura do Onbeer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at a restaurant in Regensburg, Germany. Probably the least characteristic German Hefeweizen that I’ve had. Aroma only subtly fruity, with none of the banana or other estery notes that I associate with this style. Very enjoyable, and I’d especially recommend this to people who like wheat beers but are put off by the estery profile of some German Hefeweizens. Full-bodied, fairly sweet, rich, with a warming quality, but also not too heavy. Almost no sourness, but also not much bitterness. Very pleasant to drink. Overall I liked the Arcobräu brews less than typical examples of their style, but this was an exception, I think it is my favorite beer from this brewery so far.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 50cl traded with Quack-Duck thanks. A cloudy copper beer with good head and retention. Nose is on banana and cloven wheat astringency. Aroma is medium malty, good biscuit or cereal touch, wheat notes too, creamy, finish on on grain and sweet malt, good.
