bottle. cloudy gold with almost no head. tropical fruit notes, oxidized aroma. dusty cardboard, pineapple, honey, caramel flavors. sharp, fine-bubbled carbonation. its been through the typical rigors of international distribution and unfortunately getting a fresh example of zwickel here in the US is nearly impossible.

Bottle @ home picked up at a small store in Denver. Pours a murky, dull yellow appearance with a nice off white head. Bready/grainy, chewy yeasty, cracker aroma. Slightly tangy, somewhat aged, cracker grainy, lightly fruity flavor. Not as fresh as I would like but decent enough.

DYCSoccer17 (3333) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 30, 2013
10 ounce sample on tap at Das Bierhaus in Burtlington, VT. Spicy, light floral hop aroma. Almost has a urinal cake quality. Light woodiness, too. Virtually transparent golden-blonde body with a small white head present. Starts a little spicy before it becomes a little more floral. Light cereal and biscuit malt sweetness is present later on. Finishes with scant herbal bitterness.
