On tap at Churchkey. Served in a snifter. Pours a slightly-hazy light golden color with a good white head and some mild lacing. The nose brings a bit of very light hops, but mostly grainy malt. Too much grain, actually. The flavor is mostly raw grain and base malt without too much else going on. Light body and crisp carbonation. Decent enough, but not something I’d come back for. Serving type: on-tap

Churchkey, DC tap ($7): Pours a super hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma of citrus, specific kinds of apples, and a light touch of hops. Taste is kind of like a very fruity pilsener. Slightly sweet. Hops are rather on the subdued side of things. I think it is very well-balanced and contrary to some previous reviewers, I thought that it wasn’t watery in the least. A plenty unique beer deserving some recognition.

Relativ milder und leicht süßer Antrunk. Etwas getreidig im Mittelteil, weiter süß, fast schon zu mild. Etwas fruchtig, wenig hefig, nach und nach etwas malzig werdend. Dies hält nicht lange, ein nicht wirklich starker und auch nur kurz vorhandener Hopfenton verdrängt das Malz. Zuletzt etwas süßer und nur wenig kräftiger. Sommerliche Erfrischung. Test vom 4.5.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,10,9,12,8 - 9,05

Draught. A very cloudy pale off yellow. Mild head. Some citrus. And earthy and hefe style esthers. Ok.

Bottle. Sweet,earthy barley malt and grass hops aroma. Hazy pale yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet malt and lightly bitter hay hops flavor. Decent body with a nice malty aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle: Pale golden, hazy, mid-sized lacy white head; grainy-dusty, also fruity, nose with a touch of almost noble hops; light to moderate bitter-sweetish flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; increasing papery traces in the bitter-fruity and slightly yeasty finish. good aroma, disappointing finish........

Poured to a large head. Cloudy yellow, nice well-rounded flavor. Drank this in Straubing, Germany

(bottle) Hazy yellow colour with a big foamy lacy head. Yeasty and herbal hoppy nose with white pepper. Initially yeasty and light sweet malty and fruity with a dry and slightly bitter herbal hoppy finish. A bit thin bodied but quaffable Zwickl.
