bleeng (308), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Nitro. A bit cold. Black, thick with a brown head. Sweet and definitely milky-I’m not a big milk stout fan but this was nice. Drinks way too easy for 11%-dangerous. Nice beer. BeerandBlues2 (2514), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 20, 2008 Draught. Pours thick and opaque with an average, creamy, dark brown head, mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, chocolate, nutty), light hops (flowers), average yeast (leather, dough) with notes of dates and toffee. Full bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden. ratman197 (2360), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 13, 2008 On tap @ Arctic Craft poured an opaque black with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, roastiness and a hint of vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and light vanilla with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish. RSRIZZO (1027), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Mar 29, 2008 Had on draught at the brewery. Aroma is a nice roasted malt scent. Color is solid black with a thick little dark tan head. It has a medium body that goes down smooth with a smoky roasted flavor coming on then a little sweetness and a mellow burnt taste. After taste leaves you clean. Overall its a good stout.
