Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a dark ruby brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty sharp chocoalte aroma. Roasted malty sweetish chocoalte flavor with hitns of caramel. Has a roasted malty sweetish chocolate finish.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Black - brown head. Chocolate, roasted, nutty, sweetnes, bitterness, licorice, cocoa, lots of chocolate, nice bitterness, coffee. Pleasant.

Bottle at Papsø. Pitch black coloured with a small beige head. Light roasted aroma of caramel, dark chocolate and dried fruits. Light roasted flavour of dark chocolate, dried fruits and smoke. Roasted finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and chocolate. Sweet chocolate and malty flavoured. Toasted malty, breadish and dark malty. Light bitter and medium sweet finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of soy sauce, roasted malt, alcohol, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, and soy sauce, leading to a dry, roasted, and chocolatey finish.

clear brown, smoth light brown head. aroma is roasted malts, caramel , chocolate. flavor is caramel, toffe, roasted malts, chocolate, charcoal in the end.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a small light brown head. Sweet and indeed chocolatey roast in the nose. Medium body, again these pleasant chocolate notes, some slightly overripe dark fruits, a little tar and ashes. Subdued bitterness. Really nice. 080911

An ok beer but to my tastes playing well above its station at the current mean score fo 3.50+. Looks great; dark chocolate brown and a thin orange head. Chocolate shines through well in the palate although the weight of the flavours really does thin out in the back palate. As good as any choc stout in Australia and not compelling.

500ml bottle. Black as night with a coffee coloured head, looks strong and carries burnt chocolate aromas with some roast malt. Bitter chocolate flavour is good.

Bottle. Pours jet black with rocky dark tan coloured head. Aromas of roasted malt, espresso coffee and some milk chocolate sweetness. Flavours show the roasted malt. Thin mouth feel. Not too bad. Love the labels though. Definitely one for the collection.
