Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Slightly gushing bottle. Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Aroma has dried fruits and is quite grainy. Not so fresh. Light to medium-bodied. Berryish, dried fruits, some tartness and organic beer like grainy flavor. Not sure if this is really ok bottle.

330 ml bottle. Lot n° 976/977. BB 06/15. From saveur-biere.com.
Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Grainy malt, dryness, mild yeast and mild spices in the aroma. The flavour is mild hops, yeast, grainy malt and mild fruitiness. The flavour is rather nice. Tasty.

33cl bottle from Intermarché Stenay, 05/2014, bb06/2015. (Label: Médaille d’argent Paris 2012). After a stretch of Arden Brew Fest tries from the Ardennes, this was one of many pleasant, very drinkable FR new wave bottled surprises. Wheat-inflected bière de garde with overbearing tart blanche components. Sweetish soggish malts bog it down, citric wheat and fresh ?import (Citra and Strissel?) hops give it a fresh nice zing. Refreshing, quaffable and definitely underrated so far - if far from expert brew. Either this "blonde" has been mislabeled, as it is really more of a blanche, or the recipe has improved loads since the latest ratings...

Some vanilla and some grains in the nose. Head does not last long. Odd metallic flavour. Somewhat yeasty.

330ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki)
Sweet orange sherbet sweets in the aroma. Pale and clear, brief head. Naty corny watery taste. Sugarpuffs. Adding all the crap didn’t make it any better. Watery. Dirty. Watery. Dirty. Dirty. Ugh.

Easy going Biere de Garde bought in the beautiful city of Givet. Typical blonde one with some vanilla and sweetness in taste and aroma. Nothing special but a decent one which can be drunken throughout the whole evening.

After some bad "French beer" experiences in the past I was afraid how this one would taste like and surprisingly it wasn’t that bad like some others. In fact, it was quite drinkable. It pours out of the bottle (bought in France) in a clear light amber colour, low unsteady head and medium body. Nose of caramel and hops. Taste of light caramel, light honey, grass, nuts, dusty hops and ripe barley. Quite easy to drink. Wouldn’t buy a second one of this but for once it was okay.
