COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Arendals Bryggeri, the second oldest Norwegian brewery (after Aass) that is still brewing. It is now a Ringnes subsidiary. Arendals Pils won ’The Brewing Industry International Award’ 1996. The beer has a golden, summery yellow colour, and a mild, sweet aroma. The exclusive Saazer hops give a mellow and rounded flavour with subtle and balanced notes of fruits.

0.5l can from Meny Grønland, Oslo. This is a clear pale yellowish beer with a small quickly fading bubbly white lager head. Aroma is low and faint, notes of malts, citrus and some thin hops. Average carbonation and the mouthfeel is light and thin. Flavors also not really impressive; it has a average lager-flavor with some thin fruity hinds and some really watery hops in the finish and aftertaste. Light and drinkable, but extremely boring.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2012 I grew up in Arendal so it’a about time I rate the pride of this cozy little town. It pours a clear, pale golden body with a medium white head that leaves some lacing. Faint dry hoppy aroma with pleasant citric notes and sweet malts. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a light+ bitter finish. Surprisingly fruity flavours! Light to medium body, the usual thin texture, lively carbonation. Sorry Hansa, this is the best macro lager in Norway!
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed in Arendal, courtesy of my Dad]
