Panzerfaust (375), Santiago, Chile Mar 6, 2006 Updated: Nov 17, 2006 Pours a dark brown color with red undertones and a big beige bubbly head that shows little retention and leaves a small lacing. Good and clean malty aroma with notes of coffee, chocolate and a little of alcohol and vanilla. It reminds me of the aroma of a Capuccino. Sweet flavor, simple but effective with a very coffee-ish character. Decent medium body, it ends slightly alcoholic and the carbonation is soft. Unfortunately this beer is somewhat watery but not bad for South American standards. The best Peruvian beer I’ve tasted.

faroeviking (4124), Faroese Beer Republic union of, Denmark Feb 3, 2007 Bottle bought in Arequipa. Dark brown colour with a medium mostly diminishing off-white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malts, some chocolate and caramel. Flavour is quite sweet, medium roasty maltiness, chocolate, some vanilla. Sweet and not that really a schwartzbier. Lilith (241), Santiago, Chile Mar 12, 2006 Nice aroma of molasses and coffee with some touches of toffee, brown sugar, vanilla and alcohol. It has a mahogany color and a light brown head that disappears bubbling and leaving almost no lacing. The taste is overall sweet but it resembles too much a watery coffee, probably because of its very ligh body and flat carbonation. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Nov 10, 2004 Dark color. Light, sweet aroma, malt. Quite sweet, frizzy; undistinguishable, with a week final. Cusqueña is better.
