Can. Cheap lager beer, but not so bad, I’ve thought it would be, seeing it’s price. A step above the average cheap lagers around here. Golden colour, medium white head. Aroma of hay and malt. Taste is a little sweet, malty, with medium bitternes at the end. Medium-bodied.

pale golden colour, quickly disappearing white head; poor aroma; sweet taste with metallic bitter aftertaste; really bad lager; it was a sacrilege to pour it into a Pilsner Urquel glass...

This brand was introduced this week in the dutch Lild supermarket chain and is going to serve as the chain’s house brand here. I don’t have may information as to where it’s brewed but I found on RB a brand with the same name and label, so I asuume it’s the same and it’s brewed in Poland. If I’m wrong please someone fix it.
On to the beer. Really cheap, it was 5.5 euros for a crate of 24, I only got two bottles to try it though. Poured into a pilsner glass.Carefully poured, gave me two fingers of white creamy head, with very good retention. Colour of the beer itself is deep golden. Very little activity in the glass. Head leaves no lacing as it goes down.
Aroma is malty and pretty much that’s it. Pleasant though.
Taste is also more on the malty side, a bit weird at first but not that bad.Aftertaste not pleasant, but at least it doesn’t linger for long.
Light body, but not watery, average carbonation. Dry on the palate.
Overall, a cheap generic beer, good for BBQ’s on hot days, or for any other mindless activity (watching football etc)

5.5% can from Lidl, Vila da Bispo, Portugal. Pale golden coloured with a malty and sweet fruity flavour followed by a warming caramel finish.

Bought a can from Lidl, Budapest. So it’s not a premium beer. (altough that was written on it...) it was a real surprise: very good price/performance ratio! Nowdays when other big-named beers are contain only 4,2-4,5% alc. Argus has 5,0%.
In other words: not bad!

500ml can picked up from a fridge at Caprice, outside Budapest. Fading white head over a pale golden body. Grassy to the nose added by sweet malts. Taste of dry lemon and pale malts. Dry ending. Lively carbonated and foamy in the mouth. Possible to drink with some refreshments (01.08.2012).

Decent white head. Clear golden pour. Not a bad pils especially for the price.
