4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MiamiRedhawk (12) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2012
On Draft at Ballydoyle Aurora. This pours very nicely into a 20oz tulip glass. About a finger or so of nice head, golden in color, it has the mouthfeel that you would expect from a nitro beer. Almost like a lighter guinness. Pretty good, different than boddingtons. I could drink a few of these for sure.

Very beery and grainy in aroma. The flavor is decently malty with some sweetness in it. Not much to this ale but not bad really.

12oz bottle 4/22/11 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-60° in Lager Glass-Pours a light golden amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, caramel, and malt. Taste of malt, caramel, and sweetness. This medium bodied brew is not bad but not my thing.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tmoreau (1673) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2011
On tap and nitro pushed to an imperial pint glass at Ballydoyle Pub in Bloomingdale, IL.. The color was a clear, golden hue, with abundant, silky cream to the head, and sheet-like lacing to the interior of the glass. The nose was very light malt and some graininess. The flavor was light malt and maybe a hint of sweetness, but hop that surpassed any hope for balance and crispness, leaving this light bodied beer to finish dry, and overly bitter for the style

Pours straw amber with light notes of malt and sweetness. The mouthfeel gives a more lat like drive and it finishes with a bit of a sweet malt ending.

smooth and satisfying. goes great with food, and the cascading of the nitrogen is awesome

Nitro pint at Ballydoyle. So this is actually contract-brewed for Ballydoyle, but as Ballydoyle is not passing this off as something they made themselves, like Pabst beers, I think this is the right description. So, it’s a bright golden orange in a Guinness pint, with a finger of fine foam, and patches of tiny bubbles clinging to the sides. A malty smell with some tart, like it was blended with stale beer. Taste has maltiness of a red ale, nicely sweet over a nondescript English hoppiness. Mouthfeel is a bit watery, but that’s to be expected for a nitrogen pour.
