2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 23, 2009
Golden colour with a slight haze. Herbal and spicy aroma but also with some hop notes that conjure mildew. Wet grain? Light malt character. Light bitterness. Spicy hop...a little watery. Typical Greek lager.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 bhensonb (7574) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 14, 2008
Bottle from Friar Tuck in St. Louis MO. Pale golden color with an ok frothy white head. Aroma is hoppy, but seems slightly skunked (green bottle). Medium body with sharp but mild carbonation. Flavor is without skunk at first, with malt and noble hop in good balance. But then a skunk hint seems to show up. Even if it’s not skunked, it’s a bit unusual. Suggests a lightly bready German pilsener, with a lot of noble hop, but it has a different sort of spice than I am familiar with. A bit of a puzzler.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Tmoney99 (7294) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2006
Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured a light amber with an average frotthy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate grass hoppy aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Light bittersweeet flavor with soft short finish. Light beer crowd will love this brew.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DocLock (5966) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2005
My second Greek beer. Pours hazy canary with small white head. Aroma is hopcit, honey (baklava, perhaps?), and some wheat. Tastes hopcity, with a nice honey malt presence which indeed reminds me of baklava that has been thrown in a blender. Medium palate, with a decent complexity. This one is good, and I’d have no compunction about quaffing it again.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Ughsmash (5818) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2009
Bottled. Poured clear bright golden with a nice initial cap of white head. The aroma was skunky with pale malts and corn paired with light grassy accents. The flavor was just as skunky with adjuncts really providing the sweetness.. bitterness was light and didn’t provide much. Light-bodied on the palate and tacky with a relatively good flow to it.. touch of sourness on the back. Not good.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - OCT 2, 2004
My second Greek lager at dinner last night. Not a bad golden color with a fizzy white head... which went away quickly. Kind of a sweet malt aroma and a sweet taste. Fairly crisp finish. Better than our macros, but that’s not really saying a bunch.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ernest (5182) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 24, 2005
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is clear medium yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (bread, grain), lightly hoppy (herbs).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
A relatively malty, albeit grainy, beer with a noticeable hop presence in both nose and finish.
