3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewing from notes at Great Nebraska Beer Festival.
Aroma has a nice grainy, wheat character with some moderate lactic acidity and some nice lemon notes.
Pours a rather clear, very pale, straw color with a big, rocky, white head that recedes somewhat quickly.
Flavor has a nice wheat note and a touch of grain with moderate acidity. Some light citrus notes.
Mouthfeel is light bodied with light carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice clean Berliner on the lighter side of the Berliner spectrum. This had the malt character that I thought the raspberry berliner from Destihl was lacking.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler. Pours a very light golden with minimal to no head. Bubbles popping up from the bottom and is carbed. Aroma is feet, peach skin, slight sour mash and hay. Taste is a light sour apple, some creamy peach in not so good a way, seltzer water finish. Some chardonnay comes in at the end when it warms too but I’m not really digging that.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2014 Not sure if it was the batch or what, but this one had noticeable diacetyl, which sadly showed up both in the nose and on the palate. Lemon/lime, a bit creamy (the diacetyl playing a part here, and honestly not the worst smell in the world), light enough to be pleasant on a warm day, I suppose. But, that buttery component has to get cleaned up.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft. Cloudy dark yellow golden. Fluffy frothy creamy lasting sticky white head. Yogurt. Blue cheese. Lemon. Quite tangy. Cherrios. Some creamy wheat. Tons of character. Crisp. Refreshing with a nice zip. Way better than any other Berliner I’ve had.

Oh i hate berliner weisse. Oh, how I hate it. Sorry, AZ Wilderness, I’m rating it anyway. Standard neon cloudy shit. It smells like feet, gross. Little irregular head, good lacing. It’s skunky and sour, i hate it. I don’t know good beer i guess, i’d rather drink 20-20 out of a hobo’s shoe.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2014 Growler in Breckenridge with the wife. Pour is milky yellow with a small white head. Huge lactic, vomit, guava, lemon peel, urine, vanilla, rotten cheese and butryic acid in the aroma. Taste is super cheesy, rotten, vomit, guava, nasty earwax - slightly tart. Light body with medium carbonation. There is something seriously nasty about this one - I had to drainpour the entire growler.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy light yellow pour with small white lacing. Aroma of lemon citrus, wheat, acidic lactose, vinegar and vomit, yech. Taste of tart lemon citrus, acidic lactose, faint wheat, yeast. Mouth puckering tartness, quality Berliner Weiss, just not my cup of beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Arrives from the tap with a hazy, pale gold / straw color that is topped by a thin white head. The aroma smells lightly tart up front; definitely lactic, but softly so and it has a soft, chewy, almost raw wheat character to it. Smells cleanly like a stylistic example of a Berliner Weisse should. There is a hint of a peppery note to the nose, but mostly it smells like clean, yogurt leaning, lactic acid and fermented pale grain.
Nicely tart, though I wouldn’t call it biting if you like sour beers. There is a rounded, almost chewy, amply straw like, and a bit cracker like, pale grain character that lingers in the finish. The beer is quite light bodied, but has some body to it to keep it from being watery. The lactic acidity has a complex, fermented quality to it; rounded, smooth, not really yogurt like, and not really baby vomit like (not sure why lactic fermented beers make me think of this but they do, and it is not objectionable to me at least).
This is a solid example of a Berliner Weiss; I am really enjoying it, and am truthfully a sucker for these types of beers.
