Draft shared by Daknole at Hunahpu day. Brown pour with very little head. Nice aroma of dark fruits, bourbon, and vanilla. Really tasty with a nice fusion of the bourbon and the base beer. First beer from these guys and looking forward to trying more. Thanks Dak!

Draft at Hunahpu Courtesy of Daknole - Dark brown pour. Slight bourbon, vanilla, oak, and dark fruits in the nose. The taste was malty sweet, figs, dark fruit, and very smooth. It taste very close to an English barleywine, which I found intriguing. The body could have been a little thickier, but still very solid. Overall, this was a pretty solid beer.

Generously shared by Dak on Huny day. Clear brown pour with an off white head. Smooth bourbon aromas. So smooth with the most mellow of bourbon, rich caramel malt, and luscious dark fruits highlights. Oak and vanilla undercurrents. Medium body with an above average mouthfeel. Complex and tasty. This was my first experience with Arizona Wilderness and they did not disappoint......

Pours a dark brown with almost no head. Aroma and flavors of caramel, grapes, malt, vanilla, oak, and slight hint of the barrel aging. I have to say, this is my favorite of the 2 ba barley wines they offered.

Nice. Tried immediately after Buffalo Trace. Prefer the latter a hair more. This one is a bit drier. YMMV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear dark amber pour with small beige head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, spices, roasted malts, cognac, vanilla and bourbon. Taste of toffee, vanilla, cognac, grapes, hint of cherry, slight spices and a beautiful bourbon presence complimenting this incredible beer. Absolute masterpiece, this brewery kicks ass!!

Taster at the brewpub. Gorgeous, pungent aroma of aged bourbon, dark chocolate, wet oak, bold vanilla, a touch of dark cherries, subtle Cabernet grapes, and a whisper of spicy rye. Pours deep purple-tinged mahogany. The taste is a bit muted when compared to the aroma - the sweet decadent bourbon flavor is present but competes with the vinous notes, vanilla bean, and oak tannins for top billing. A bit of chocolate pops up late. Medium body with a sweet and woody finish. A very good beer, but I prefer the Buffalo Trace version based on the bolder taste.

Draft - Buttery pecan, raisin, vanilla, caramel and bourbon notes. Clear dark amber with a thin beige head. Bourbon, boozey and caramel. Nice blend but a little thin on the palate.

Brown pour with a nice tan head. Flavors a a bit more stoic are than the BT Eagle Rare barrel. More grapes from the base come through, toffee, vanilla is big. So very nice.

Sampled @ AZ Strong Beer Fest. Beautiful mix of copper, scarlet, and crimson with a small eggshell crown. Brown sugar, caramel, toffee, molasses, vanilla, charred oak, and decadent bourbon are all there. The flavors and aroma are incredibly melded and complimentary, but I think the Eagle Rare barrel did the base beer more justice. Still a great treat!
